RSC is an regulatory body within the Ministry of Health. RSC is a competent authority for licensing, supervision and control of work with radiation sources used in medicine, veterinary, industry, science and education, State register of sources and radiation workers, protection of population, monitoring of food and drinking water, monitoring of occupationaly exposed workers and workplaces and approval of dosimetry services. VATESI is an regulatory body for licensing, supervision and control for nuclear safety. The accreditation according to LST ISO/IEC 17025 is performed by the Lithuanian National Accreditation Bureau. The approval is performed by the Radiation Protection Centre (RSC) and by the State Nuclear Power Safety Inspectorate (VATESI) respectively according to requirements and procedure approved by Minister of Health and the State Nuclear Power Safety Inspectorate (VATESI). Approved dosimetry services: All three external dosimetry services of Lithuania are accredited by the Lithuanian National Accreditation Bureau and complies with requirements of LST ISO/IEC 17025. The dosimetry services of RPC and INTA are recognized by the regulatory body (i.e. RPC) in accordance with the established requirements and procedure approved by Minister of Health. The dosimetry service of Ignalina NPP is recognized in accordance with the established requirements and procedure approved by the State Nuclear Power Safety Inspectorate (VATESI).
